Urgent: Request for Investigation and Membership Cancellation

Dear Miss Acuna and/or Royal Holiday Vacation Club Corporate Representatives,

I truly and honestly appreciate your prompt response and most than anything, your commitment to assisting members in making the most of their Royal Holiday membership.

However, after carefully considering your suggestions, I must reiterate my request for membership cancellation. Your emphasis on the benefits of the Royal Holiday membership is duly noted, but it appears you seem to be missing the point.

What your sales associate did was the deliberate, reckless, and negligent sale of a service. It seems there was a misrepresentation of the entire product or service. Or misselling, however you wish to call it.

I find the product, or service as you refer to it, unsuitable for my needs, and I strongly believe this may be the case for other customers as well. This type of behavior is both negligent and unethical.

I want to bring to your attention that such practices can lead to legal action, fines, or professional censure for those who engage in them. I am not sure if your sales agents/Reps are aware of it.

It is crucial to recognize the potential legal ramifications of misrepresentation. Deliberately misleading customers not only breaches trust but may also result in severe consequences.

I implore you to consider the ethical implications of continuing to uphold a membership that was, in my case, misrepresented during the sales process.

I understand the importance of maintaining positive relationships with your customers and hope we can resolve this matter amicably. I am open to discussing this further, and I trust that the Royal Holiday Vacation Club values its customers' satisfaction and ethical business practices.

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Pablo Luis Gutierrez Iglesias and I am writing to you as a concerned member of the Royal Holiday Vacation Club to express my deep discontent regarding the unethical and misleading practices we have experienced.

This is the second time that I have attempted to contact you. The first time was unsuccessful as we never received any replies from you or any other executive.

It has come to our attention that a substantial number of sales within the Royal Holiday Club are conducted using high-pressure sales tactics, leaving many members feeling deceived and scammed. This pervasive issue has led to a prevailing sentiment among the membership that they are being lied to and manipulated. Sadly, our personal experience aligns with these concerns, prompting us to bring this matter to your attention, especially when the sales agent involved in the transaction claims that she does not recall any of the sell pitches that she used so masterfully( the "over 500 locations around the World and significant airfare discounts" that we could benefit from by being members of the Club) and ultimately, that she no longer worked for the Organization that you represent when we reached out to her.

During our attempt to utilize the benefits of our membership, we found ourselves subjected to an exceptionally lengthy waiting time and unhelpful, nasty customer service Reps.

This unsettling experience has left us questioning the integrity of the sales tactics employed by the Royal Holiday Club.

Furthermore, in early October 2023, we attempted to book a trip using vouchers for "free" flights and 0-point accommodations. To our surprise, we were asked to make an upfront payment for flights with the promise of a refund.

Given these circumstances, we believe it is essential to highlight the gravity of the situation. The high-pressure sales tactics, misrepresentations, and lack of accountability within the Royal Holiday Club have not only tarnished our perception but have raised serious ethical and legal concerns.

In light of these issues, we are formally requesting the cancellation of our membership. We believe this step is necessary due to the unethical and, in some instances, illegal tactics used by certain sales agents.

We also emphasize the lack of accountability demonstrated by various individuals involved in our interactions with the club.

We trust that you will thoroughly investigate these matters and take appropriate actions to rectify the situation. We are hopeful that our concerns will be addressed promptly to restore trust in the Royal Holiday Vacation Club.

We appreciate your commitment to addressing member feedback.

Allow me to elaborate further on the reasons behind our membership cancellation request. When we initially entered into the agreement, our decision was based on the information provided during the sales presentation by the then Sales Associate, Olfa. We understood that the commitment to fulfill and abide by the contract was contingent upon the representations made during that sales pitch.

However, upon closer examination, we found discrepancies between what was presented to us and the current reality of our membership. Specifically, during the sales pitch, we inquired about specific destinations that piqued our interest, including Cap Cana, Bali, various locations in Europe, the Philippines, and the Middle East.

Regrettably, the locations mentioned in the presentation barely reach the over 500 destinations displayed, leaving us feeling that the variety and availability we were promised do not align with our current options.

We believe in the importance of transparency and trust that this commitment is reciprocated by Royal Holiday Vacation Club.

We seek clarification and resolution on the disparities between the information provided to us during the sales presentation and the current offerings available under our Platinum Plus membership.

We understand the contractual obligations associated with our membership; however, the decision to explore the possibility of cancellation arises from the perceived variance between what was initially communicated to us and the current reality. We value the integrity of our relationship with Royal Holiday and hope that we can find an amicable solution to address these concerns.

desafortunadament este club is un robo, nada de lo que prometen es cierto. si estas dispuesto a ir a los mismos lugares (Mexico y Republica dominicana) una y otra ves esta bien pero si quieres ir a otros paises te aconsejo que no gastes ni tu tiempo ni tu dinero.

Por ejemplo si quieres ir a Espana ellos te ofrecen un cuarto para dos personas pero eso no te lo dicen cuando te quieren convencer de que compres la membrecia. No responden a tus pedidos y parece que no hay comunicacion dentro de su compania.

la verdad que ni una estrella se merecen pero no existe esa opcion.
Unfortunately, this club is a scam nothin they promised during the sale is true unless you are ok going to the same place over and over again. we were promised "Next vacation is on us' they knew we wanted to go to Spain and when we tried to book our trip to Spain they only offered one room for 2 people even though they knew our daughter was going with us because she is a minor, after trying so many times to talk to people and failed so many times we opt for canceling the membership due to this person not answering our email or text anymore.

I have been a member for 26 years. I received an email saying they would waive my late fees. However when I called to pay my annual dues, they would not honor it. This is the worst company ever. I would never recommend them to anyone. This timeshare is a ripoff. This should be illegal

Royal Holiday Club - Unable to Cancel Membership. Misrepresentation from the Start!

From April 26 to May 3 2021, my husband and I stayed at Bavaro Princess, a Domincan Republic Resort. On the 2nd, they took us to a Royal Holiday presentation that lasted approx.

4 hours. From the beginning of our interactions with the Royal Holiday representatives, we were misled about the company, the product and services available, and what would eventually be agreed upon when purchasing a membership. We were presented with the alleged precise club details and offered to make a purchase decision based solely on what was presented to us. Given the lengthly and expensive offer, my husband and I specifically and diligently asked the very tactical sales reps what would happen if in the future, we decided that we did not want or could not pay for the membership, to which the sales representative and what appeared to be the legal representative agreed responding that we could simply cancel.

They even took it a step further to highlight the portion of the contract that appeared to indicate this cancelation agreement. After numerous attempts to speak with our assigned customer service representative after purchasing, we were unsuccessful with having any of our questions about future vacations addressed entirely or timely. Due to poor customer service and the inability to book a vacation with ease as stated during the sales pitch, we told the representative over the phone we wanted to cancel our contract on the basis that we no longer could afford the membership, nor did we want to continue being members. Even though we were told that we had the option to cancel, which is also stated in the contract, they immediately rejected my request.

They were uncooperative, unprofessional, and dismissive when attempting to answer any of my questions regarding cancelation. They also indicated that the balance has to be paid in full, which the contract does not state. I have sent a certified letter to cancel our membership and am pending a response back. I have been disputing my request without reasonable resolution thus far.

This has been a total scam from the start and a never-ending nightmare to get out of. Do not sign up for this membership if at all possible!

Hello, I have the exact same situation. Signed on Jan 31st in Punta Cana and found out on Feb 12th when i was able to speak to someone and gain access to the website that 75% of the information from the presentation was false.

Have you been able to find any solutions to cancel?

I have been trying since Feb 14th and just found out 2 days ago that the cancellation period was 5 business days from date of signing. So many lies, so much deceipt and so much stress.

I have never failed to pay a single fee, in addition, I cannot enjoy my points with my account fully settle, and it is worth mentioning that it has been Royal Holiday who has been failing to manage my points as fairly agreed before the pandemic when acquiring my membership back in 2018 and just like the rest of the world did during and after the pandemic. The original offer was to count on my valid points for 3 years, now most of my points had been discarded by Royal Holiday every single year with no delays, while I've been paying an annual fee for literally nothing.

My pending carryover points are being conditioned with my 2022 annual fee before banked, when points in question were settled timely for 2021, and I am pretty sure there is no way that Royal Holiday will even place a reservation, way less will allow me to enjoy my benefits, before having my payments respectively pocketed, as they conveniently have mastered in their sole benefit so far and under no circumstances towards me as a member.

I have not enjoyed a single point so far due to professional commitments and more importantly due to the pandemic. They have trashed my points, Year after year, very unfairly while receiving my payments with no delay.

Right before the end of 2021 while trying to use some of my points before being trashed by Royal Holiday once and again, they offered me a beach in New Jersey (cannot get any colder) or Park Royal Orlando for a pretty high average price and looking like a multi-story motel-6.

Royal Holiday. THE UGLY TRUE: It won't help you to save money on vacation.

It will cost you thousands more. Thousands to become a member, thousands for extra expenses like food and maintenance and thousands to exit.

On October 29 I desperately called my RH agent with the hope that I would receive assistance and guidance, but the reality was not sugar coded.
I am a single mother who is going through financial stress due to the negative impact of COVID on business.
After explaining my situation to the agent, I kindly requested to use the money I paid for a Silver membership ( 8000 USD) to obtain a Bronze membership because I was unable to comply with the payments given my current circumstances.
My petition was not only denied, but I was also intimidating about losing everything.
I bought this membership only 2 months ago during my vacation in The Dominican Republic, I have been current on my payments, and I haven't made use of the benefits at all. Actually, the first time I called for a reservation they asked me to pay the annual fee for 2022 in advance.
The contract points out that the agreement can be cancelled at anytime, but there is no cancellation policy indicating terms and conditions for cancelation and refund.

I believe the contract lacks the minimum legal requirements and it is a complete SCAM.
After the fiasco, I contacted the office in Punta Cana where I made the business and the representative told me that the Bronze membership is no longer on the market. Then, I decided to cancel my contract and request a full refund but it has been so far a nightmare.
As a result, I see myself now in an uncertain situation dealing with a fraudulent and unscrupulous company.
I was enchanted by the idea of traveling around the world with my little son and became a member of RH thinking that I was dealing with a prestigious corporation who respects the rights of their customers by doing fair and transparent business.
My message to all Canadians travelling to Punta Cana o Mexico is STAY AWAY FROM ROYAL HOLIDAY.

SCAMMERS/THIEVES/LIARS

We were lulled into trusting these SCAMMERS in March 2021 while at our favorite resort- Grand Riviera Princess in Riviera Maya! WE've stayed at this resort for over 14 yrs and RH promised us that GRP was a true partner and that booking rooms would never be an issue!

Not only did they steal $14000 plus 4 payments of $727 from us, we have not been able to book rooms! They've pushed several other options in Cancun, etc that we have no interest in! We have been trying to book rooms since March, it's one excuse after another!

We just requested a refund after speaking with so many people and of course they are threatening collection agency!

ALSO none of the employees that sold us the membership are with the company or they don't answer! STEER CLEAR AND SAVE YOURSELVES!
